Welcome to the Official HR-ENCODES Frequently Asked Questions!
Below are a bunch of common questions you may have as a new member.
It's simple: click the question to view the answer. Then, click the

I just joined, how do I get access to the media?
Lots of people kept joining HR just to steal our media, so we made a new rule - you need to have 10 posts before you can view the section. These posts must be made on the forum, in any forum except the Playground & Games section, because posts don't count there. Once you reach 10 posts, a script should enable your media access within an hour.
I just posted 10 times and the media still blocked?
Make sure your post count shows that you have 10 posts! If it does, then you have to wait for an automated script to run to promote you. It's set to run multiple times an hour, but you may have to wait. While you wait - go outside! It's just media, it's going to be there when you come back inside. If you still don't have access an hour after getting 10 posts, please contact an Administrator.
How do I download the music and videos?
Members will usually put links to the files in their post. These files are hosted on file hosting services like Mediafire, RapidShare, and Megaupload. You just click on those links, wait the 30 seconds or whatever it asks, and enjoy! Some files will need programs like WinRAR to open the archives.
Is there a "Mature Section" for 18+ material?
Yes. The forum is hidden by default, but if you think you're mature enough, you can click here to add yourself into the "Mature Access" group. If you join the group, you'll be able to see the forum, if you leave the group, the forum will disappear. The Mature Forum may contain links to 18+ material, you are subject to follow all local and federal laws and HR is not held responsible if you click links in that section and are underage.
Who do I contact if I need help with something?
HR has a dedicated staff team that volunteer their free time to help you out. If you need help with something, please try to explain it in a simple and nice manner, and contact a member of our staff team. All Super Moderators and Administrators are happy to help you! If you prefer email, you can send an email to hrencodeshelp@gmail.com!
How can I view HR on my iPod or iPhone?
HR-ENCODES has a special iPhone/iPod optimized theme to help making browsing on your iPhone/iPod easier! Just go to HR-ENCODES.com on your iPod, and at the very bottom left corner of the page there's the style selector. On your device, select the iPhone/iPod Optimized theme. It loads quick and makes browsing HR on your mobile easier! It's also said to work great with Android and iPad users.
I really love HR, how can I help out?
I'm glad you love us! We love you too. (You smell good.) As much as we'd love to let everyone help out with stuff, we have a dedicated and trained staff team right now, so we're not looking for more help. Every now and then we get open positions, at that point a news update will be posted and everyone has a chance to apply. If you want to help out on a smaller scale, just tell your friends about us! The more people, the more successful (and sexy) HR becomes.
Why do some members have stars next to their name?
Members who have a next to their name mean they are a member of the VIP group. VIPs are HR members who have made 1,500 posts or more. They get special features, like a bigger PM box, the ability to upload HQ photos, and have custom usertitles! If you make 1,500 posts you can join them. ;)
Why are some usernames colored?
Names that are a different color show that member is a staff member. The blue members are the Administrators, and the pink members are Super Moderators. If you see a colored name, you can always PM them for help. Purple shows the member is a Style Designer.
How do I have a signature below my posts?
All members can make their own signatures and use them! To add your signature, just click User CP, then go to "Edit Signature", or click here! To have an image in your signature, you'll have to upload the picture to an image host like Imgur or TinyPic then put
[img][/img] around the direct link.
